Testimonials
Angela lost 10 pounds, reduced her A1C from 11.3% to 5.5%, and no longer requires insulin for diabetes management.
“Hi, my name is Angela Green and I am the “Diva that beat diabetes”! I didn’t know that I had diabetes until I became sick one day and during the visit with the doctor, I was told that my A1C was 11.3% and that I had Type 2 diabetes. I was so scared and didn’t know where to begin on how to battle this! My provider referred me to Diabetes Solutions for diabetes education and coaching sessions. In just a few short months with working with my provider and my diabetes coach; Jennifer, my A1c went from 11.3% to 5.0%! The information given for healthy changes in foods and lifestyle was easy for me to stick to and the program is easily accessible by phone or computer.”
Donna lost 35 pounds, reduced her A1C from 8.8% to 5.3%, and no longer requires diabetes medication, relying on lifestyle changes and health eating.
“Hi, my name is Donna Ladd. I found out that I had type 2 diabetes in May of 2022 when I was seeing my healthcare provider for a Wellness check-up. My A1c level came back as 8.8%, I was prescribed medication and had to begin sticking my fingers to check blood sugar levels. My provider then referred me to Diabetes Solutions for diabetes coaching and education sessions via telehealth. The session scheduling was very flexible, and I love the 1-on-1 coaching approach, plus it held me accountable. I learned to better manage my blood sugar levels with healthy eating, being active with exercise, taking meds and reducing risks of further diabetes complications. Since the beginning of the program, my A1c decreased to 5.3%, I lost 35 lbs., and my provider was able to take me off Metformin.”
Larry lost 27 pounds and reduced his A1C from 7.6% to 5.5%.
“Hi, my name is Larry Tucker. I have had diabetes type 2 for many years. I began my journey with Diabetes Solutions in 2021. My beginning A1C was 7.6% and by the end of the program my A1C had reduced to 5.5%. I also lost 27 lbs and 7 inches in my waist! Also, my triglyceride levels improved and the HDL cholesterol level. I became much more active, had more energy and better mental clarity. I even joined a gym and started exercising five days a week and participated in group fitness classes, which is something that I had not done before. I eat much healthier now and my overall Wellness has significantly improved!”
Ashley lost 36 pounds, reduced her A1C from 5.9% to 5.3%, and has dropped 2-3 pants sizes.
“Hi, my name is Ashley Stanford. My journey started out in 2016 with pre-diabetes, then in March of 2023 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and referred to an endocrinologist. I was so frustrated and unsure of where to start after being told this, but during my visit in April with my endocrinologist they reassured me that I could get better. They also referred me to Diabetes Solutions to start coaching sessions on diabetes education. I work full time but my coach worked with me on scheduling the sessions during my lunch breaks. After learning about healthy eating, such as reading food labels, focusing more on non-starchy carbohydrates, quality proteins and good fats, I felt more confident that I could choose these types of foods every day for my meals. Also, the recipes in the guidebook were so helpful! Since the beginning of the program, I have changed so many different parts of my life for the better and I also felt supported and encouraged along the way. I have more energy and I sleep so much better too! I have lost nearly 40 lbs, reduced 2-3 pants sizes and my A1c is now a 5.3%, which is below a pre-diabetic range! One of the things that I love the most with Diabetes Solutions coaches is that they are personable. You aren’t treated like a patient or a number, you are heard and supported in every way!”
Cathy lost 57 pounds, reduced her A1C from 8.7% to 5.4%, and has reduced her diabetes medication from 3 to just 1 daily.
“My doctor referred me to Diabetes Solutions three years ago for diabetes education and coaching. My A1C was then at an 8.7% and I was taking three different diabetes medications every day. My diabetes coach; Jennifer, was such an encouragement to me as I began their program. She not only helped me learn about healthy eating with diabetes but so many other things to improve my blood sugar levels and overall health. Change can be hard, but the support given by my coach helped make that transition to a healthier lifestyle easier. Not only was I able to bring my A1C and weight down, but my provider was also able to remove two of my diabetes medications. Today, I am happy to say that my A1C is still in a great range at 5.4% and my doctor has reduced the remaining one medicine by half! The Diabetes Solutions coaches are amazing and so supportive! I feel like this program truly saved my life and I am so thankful for it!”
Danny lost 19 pounds, reduced his A1C from 12% to 6.0%, and has been able to significantly reduce his insulin intake.
“Hi, my name is Danny Jones. I have had type 2 diabetes for many years and struggled with getting my hemoglobin A1C to a healthy level. A dear friend of mine suggested Diabetes Solutions to help me with my health journey. When I started with my coaching sessions with Jennifer my A1C was nearly 12%. I learned better ways of eating and understanding more about the different types of foods and how they can affect your blood sugars. I began using a CGM to check my blood sugars and it was also a game changer. The changes that I made with healthier eating, monitoring my blood sugars; along with exercise, my A1C went from 12% to 6% in 6 months. I felt so much better, had more energy and my healthcare provider was able to significantly decrease the amount of insulin that I had to take every day. I not only went down in my A1c and medication, but I also lost over 20 lbs. I have been able to keep my A1C under 6.5% for years with the education that I received with the coaching sessions.”
Rosie lost 41 pounds, reduced her A1C from 10.2% to 6.1% without the use of insulin, and decreased her blood pressure medication.
“Hi, my name is Rosie Fiffer. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in July of 2022 and by October of that year my A1C was 10.2%. My healthcare provider gave me great support during my clinic visit that day and he also referred me for diabetes coaching with Diabetes Solutions. After I started speaking with my coach, I began eating more whole real foods, ate less sweets, monitored my blood sugars more, and started being more active. By January of 2023, my A1C had decreased to 7.0% and I had lost 16 lbs! Seeing my numbers improve and feeling better also gave the push to keep going, so by January of 2024 my A1C was 6.1% and I had lost over 40 lbs! I also went down in clothes sizes, my blood pressure improved, plus cholesterol levels improved and I was able to reduce medications.”
Stephanie lost 53 pounds and improved her A1C from 6.3% to 5.8%.
“Hi, my name is Stephanie Woodyard, and I was diagnosed with uncontrolled diabetes type 2 in 2010 and insulin resistance. This created so many other medical issues and conditions over the years, such as weight gain, high blood pressure, fatigue, etc. I had tried just about everything to lose weight, but with no luck the weight kept going up, and by January of 2023 my A1C was 6.3% and I weighed 248 pounds. At my doctors visit that day, my provider referred me to Diabetes Solutions for diabetes education coaching sessions. I then began to choose healthier foods after the 1st session and continued to take my meds and Mounjaro. While working with Jennifer during the program, I continued my progress with lifestyle changes, I lost more weight, my A1C reduced, and my blood pressure improved. I am now at 195 pounds and my A1C is 5.8%! All medication for blood pressure has been removed by my physician, I feel better and have so much more energy!”
